Nylon 12 Powder

Balancing strength and detail, Nylon 12 Powder is a highly capable material for both functional prototyping and end-use production of complex assemblies and durable parts with high environmental stability. Our Nylon 12 Powder is specifically developed for use on the Fuse 1.

 

Nylon 12 Powder is ideal for:

  • High-performance prototyping

  • Small batch manufacturing

  • Permanent jigs, fixtures, and tooling

  • Biocompatible, sterilizable parts*

Build Chamber

Reduce downtime by transferring modular build chambers and powder cartridges between the Fuse 1 and Fuse Sift for a nonstop, cyclical workflow.

 

Each Fuse 1 includes one build chamber, compatible with the Fuse 1 and Fuse Sift. Keeping an extra build chamber in your toolkit allows you to run a new print as soon as a previous job is completed. After completing a print, remove the build chamber from the Fuse 1 and load it into the Fuse Sift for cooling, part extraction, and material reclamation.

Fuse sift

The Fuse Sift is a safe, efficient powder recovery system for the Fuse 1 3D printer. This easy-to-use, all-in-one station combines part extraction, powder recovery, storage, and mixing in a single free-standing device, for the most functionality in a single device available on the SLS market.

 

  • Compact, enclosed system: A negative air pressure system keeps powder inside while enabling open access and easy cleanup.

  • Low waste: A 30% material refresh rate means you can print with up to 70% recycled powder, indefinitely. Fuse Sift’s sieve filters out particles to be remixed with new powder and reused in future prints.

  • Automatic powder mixing: Fuse Sift will dispense and mix used and new powder automatically so you can reduce waste and control your powder supply.

  • Nonstop printing: Reduce downtime by transferring modular build chambers and powder cartridges between the Fuse 1 and Fuse Sift for a nonstop, cyclical workflow.

  • A complete toolkit: The Fuse Sift includes a set of finishing tools to help you clean excess powder from parts with ease.

Fuse 1 Accessories & Components

Printer Stand

This steel stand raises the Fuse 1 to an ergonomic height, keeping the printer stable and level while enabling easy access to the print chamber and touchscreen display.

Industrial Vacuum

The Fuse Sift powder recovery station incorporates an external vacuum, sold separately, to help you efficiently, safely maintain a clean workspace. The integrated hose and controls allow you to easily tidy up your workspace, clean off a build chamber, or remove debris from the sifter mesh.

 

Due to potential hazards associated with powders, a static dissipative vacuum that is NFPA 652 compliant is required. This Class II Division 2 vacuum fulfills all safety requirements for the Fuse Sift.

Powder Cartridge

Reduce downtime by transferring modular powder cartridges and build chambers between the Fuse 1 and Fuse Sift for a nonstop, cyclical workflow.

 

Use the powder cartridge to load material dispensed from the Fuse Sift into the Fuse 1 hopper. The powder cartridge is also used as a mixing vessel when combining fresh and used powder.

Optical Cassette

All SLS printers require operators to clean the optics before every print, which often involves disassembling complex systems. The Fuse 1 protects its optics with an optical cassette designed for tool-free removal and installation.

Replacement Exhaust Air Filter

The Fuse 1 uses an exhaust filter to remove sintering byproducts from its exhaust.

Replacement Intake Air Filter

The Fuse 1 uses an intake filter to remove potential contaminants from air being drawn into the printer.

Sift HEPA Air Filter

A HEPA filter is used in conjunction with the Fuse Sift air handling system to filter out powder. This enables the Fuse Sift to maintain negative pressure under the hood and minimizes potential mess in the workspace.

Sift 150 Sieve

During part extraction on the Fuse Sift, unsintered powder is dislodged and funneled into the sifter below the workspace. This sieve filters out any small chunks or debris to keep the powder clean. The reclaimed powder can then be stored in a dedicated hopper until mixing with fresh powder for the next print.
