This course is for the beginner who is unfamiliar with SOLIDWORKS and its features. The course gives participants a basic understanding of how to create parts, assemblies, and drawing documents using the basic fundamentals of SOLIDWORKS and information to take and understand the Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate (CSWA) exam.
Uses step-by-step, project-based tutorials designed for beginners. Users will explore the SOLIDWORKS User Interface and Command Manager, Document and System properties and create simple machine parts, simple assemblies, proper design intent, configurations, multi-sheet, multi-view drawings and Bill of Materials (BOMs).
Designed to teach new users the basic concepts of SOLIDWORKS and good solid modeling techniques. Uses a task-oriented approach to learning SOLIDWORKS. A Gear Housing project is created using the most commonly used commands for part modeling, assembly and detailing after completing a series of components and their 2D drawings.
This course is for the mid-level user, who is already familiar with the SOLIDWORKS program and is comfortable with creating sketches, basic models, and assemblies. The course gives participants a basic understanding of how to take and pass the Technology Educator Competency Exam (TECE) which is intended for educators that teach using SOLIDWORKS software in a classroom setting.
This course picks up where SOLIDWORKS Basics leaves off by focusing on configurations, multi-sheet, multi-view drawings and BOMs. The course broadens the users’ SOLIDWORKS knowledge base by covering such features as lofts, sweeps, shell, and generating engineering drawings and other SOLIDWORKS functions that are critical for the effective use of the software.
This course is for the intermediate-to-advanced user who has already completed the SOLIDWORKS Basics and SOLIDWORKS Intermediate Skills courses. Users who are very familiar with SOLIDWORKS and its add-ins will find this course a valuable experience.
SOLIDWORKS Advanced Techniques course picks up where SOLIDWORKS Intermediate leaves off. Its purpose is to take you from an intermediate user with understanding of SOLIDWORKS and modeling techniques to an advanced user capable of creating complex models able to use the advanced tools provided by SOLIDWORKS. Each project has been broken down and developed into easy and comprehensible steps that help the user develop skills in 3D Sketching, Plane Creation, Sweeps with Composite Curves and Variable Pitches, Lofts, and Ribs.
The intended audience for this course is anyone with a minimum of 6 - 9 months of SOLIDWORKS experience, basic knowledge of engineering fundamentals and practices and is trying to take and pass the Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate (CSWA) exam.
It is recommended that the user reviews their skills on SOLIDWORKS Parts, Assemblies, and Drawings. The course covers the overview of SOLIDWORKS and the User Interface, CSWA Introduction and Drafting Competencies, Basic and Intermediate Part Creation and Modification, Advanced Part Creation and Modification, Assembly Creation and Modification.
